I know, I’m always referencing kiddie stuff, but seriously, this classic Sesame Street song has so much wisdom mixed in with the silliness.
Whenever I’m feeling bad about myself and like I have nothing to offer, I just watch this and it helps to remind me that I don’t need to bring anything extravagant to try to impress someone.
I just need to be kind and willing to lend a hand.
And that it’s not about impressing someone with fancy things, it’s about being the authentic person that I am.
Because being true to myself and trying my best to shine in this dark and broken world is just about the bravest, most impressive thing I can do.
