A series of black and white comics about life in Emilyville (population: me), and its neighboring town, Millie Land (because my cat Millie presides in a land all of her own, as most cats do 😸).

This morning while I was praying and seeking God, an image came into my mind of seeds growing underground. And I realized that even though a city dweller like me may not know much about farming first-hand, I do understand seeds. You have to plant them in good soil, make sure they have enough water and light to grow… and most of all you have to give them time.
And that’s the trickiest part for me, is the idea of things taking time, because I’m an impatient person in a lot of ways. It’s not that I don’t know how to work hard, because I do. But there have been times in the past where I start something, and then just because it’s not getting immediate results, it makes me feel defeated and I give up.
But the truth is, sometimes things just take time to grow. And just because I may look at a patch of dirt and see nothing there, doesn’t mean that the seeds aren’t slowly sprouting under the surface.
Because everything has to start somewhere, right? And sometimes it’s just a matter of time and patience before things start to truly take root and grow.
