Okay, I know my neurodivergent ass is generally naive and doesn’t get things, but I have to ask why?
Why are transgender people such a threat to the right?
Why did Trump spend millions demonizing them in swing states during this election cycle?
Why is he trying to kick them out of the military?
And most of all, why are people freaking out about trans people in the bathroom?
Again, maybe it’s my neurodivergent ass not getting it but public bathrooms are gross anyway. I just want to get in, do my business, and get out and I’m focused on that instead of focusing on what genitals the other people in the bathroom around me have and whether they match up to their gender expression.
Trans people are literally 1% of the population.
They are human beings and all they want to do is live their lives in peace like any of the rest of us do.
Why are we worrying about such a non-issue when the USA is falling apart at the seams and quickly sliding into some kind of fascist-oligarchy hybrid that’s frankly scaring the crap out of me more and more every day since November 6?
If we want to focus on the real 1% of the population who’s causing trouble, let’s look at the billionaires.
99% of us have more in common with each other than we do with the ultra-rich.
If we realized that, maybe we’d actually start to get somewhere.
